About My Cakes

* HOW MUCH YOUR CAKES COST?
Prices vary depending on size, details, intricacy and complexity of your design.

3D Cakes price starts at $350

*WHY A GROOMS CAKE?

A groom's cake is a golden opportunity to let your grooms taste and personality shine through. A wedding detail that is all about him. Whether served the evening before at the rehearsal dinner or sitting proudly next to the bride’s cake at the reception, it will bring the groom into the spotlight, even if only for a moment.

*DO YOU SELL READY-MADE BASIC CAKES or SHEET CAKES?
Since I am a custom cake bakery, I work closely with you to make sure each “show stopping” cake is unique and reflects the recipient’s personality and sense of style. I create custom “centerpiece” cakes. I do not have ready-made basic cakes ready-to-go. And, no, I do not offer sheet cakes.

*DO YOU PROVIDE FRESH FLOWERS / NON EDIBLE DECORATIONS?
Fresh floral accents would be ordered through your florist. I can place any flowers on the cake to complete the design and ask that they be left on the cake table for placement. SweetArt, LLC will not be responsible for any damage done to the cake as a result of floral placement by someone other than SweetArt. Accents of fresh fruit, Silk flowers, or sugar paste flowers are available at an additional charge.
I
n the case of fresh flower usage on the cake, SweetArt takes no responsibility over the flowers being ordered and their adverse effects on guests. If the florist places flowers SweetArt takes no liability if the cake is damaged. For non-edible decorations, silk flowers, bling, ribbon, wires... SweetArt is not liable if your guests eat them.

Delivery

*DO YOU DELIVER?
Yes I deliver. Delivery and set-up start at $150 for locations within 15 miles of Houma, LA. For more complex setups or venues beyond this distance, additional charges will be quoted on an individual basis. Feel free to contact me with your event details, and I’ll be happy to provide a personalized quote.

*CAN I PICK UP MY CAKE?

Yes you can. If you chose to have your cake picked up, SweetArt is NOT responsible for damage to any cake once it has left my location. Since my cakes are made with ingredients that will MELT IN HEAT cakes should never be left in direct sunlight or in a hot vehicle. Cakes should be transported in a cool and flat area with plenty of space (the floorboard of a car or backseat is not suggested).

*DO YOU SHIP YOUR CAKES?
I do not ship my cakes, for many reasons, but mostly because I couldn't GUARANTEE if would make it in one piece!

Tastings & Ordering by appointment only

*HOW MUCH IS CAKE TASTING AND CONSULTATION?
To book your Tasting Box, you can choose 4 flavors of cake and 5 flavors of filling or buttercream from my menu HERE. The fee for a Tasting Box serving 2 (1 box) is $35, and for 4 servings (2 boxes), the fee is $63.

*HOW CAN I ORDER A CAKE?
You can email me at sweetart@sweetartcake.com or CONTACT me here! Either way, I'll need ALL the details regarding your event in order to provide you with a quote. (Date, time, theme, colors, flavors, amount of servings needed, for a certain color please provide a swatch and any ideas or pictures you have for reference.)

*HOW EARLY SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?
To ensure that your cake will receive all my attention to every detail, I limit the number of cakes I make each week. Since I am usually booked a few weeks (or sometimes months) in advance, I do encourage early ordering. (6-8 weeks advance notice is recommended, but I will be happy to fit you in whenever our schedule permits.) 6-8 WEEKS!? ARE YOU CRAZY!? Trust me, I am in business to help serve as many customers as humanly possible. HOWEVER, 1. We ARE HUMANS, and there are only so many hours in the day. 2. I specialize in over-the-top EDIBLE ART that takes time to create!

*HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO GET BACK TO ME?
I will review your submission and get back to you within 48 hours. Remember, I am closed Saturdays and Sundays.

Deposits Booking and Cancellations

*IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO PLACE AN ORDER?
Yes. I require a non-refundable 50% retainer to book your order. If your balance is not paid IN FULL two weeks prior to your event, you forfeit your deposit, and risk not being accommodated. The retainer is due within 24h of the invoicing, and the final payment in full is due no later than 2 weeks (14 calendar dates) prior to your event (changes to the previously agreed design may incur extra fees). All dates are considered open until your retainer is received.
Payment is required in full for all orders booked less than 2 weeks before your event date and for all Birthday Cakes.

I do not accept credit cards, however checks and cash are accepted. Payment through Venmo (friendly payment) is preferred.

*WHY IS IT NON-REFUNDABLE?
Because remember when I told you we BOOK UP often?.. Well there would be NO WAY for me to go back and get all of the customers I said NO to, to backfill YOUR SPOT if you decide to cancel your order.
BOOKING
After we discuss the details of your event and decide on a cake that you like, if you are interested in booking and would like to proceed, I would require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your date. The remaining balance must be paid in full two weeks prior to your event. The balance and deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE, meaning you can NOT cancel one date and then change it for another.

*WHAT IS YOUR REFUND/ CANCELLATION POLICY?
CANCELLATIONS will be considered up to 2 weeks (14 calendar days) prior to your event date. If you would like to cancel your order, any payments over the 50% non-refundable retainer may be refunded, so long as the cancellation is made at least 2 weeks prior to the event date. Cancellations over 2 weeks prior to your event date will result in a forfeiture of full payment. Any cake not paid in full by 2 weeks prior to your event will be cancelled.
If an order is not picked up on the day of delivery, the client is still responsible for the full balance of the order. I will make every attempt to contact you in the event of a missed pickup. If a cancellation is made less than two weeks prior to your event, the balance is still due in full. *Please understand that when you book an order, I decline other orders. If you cancel, that could result in thousands of dollars lost, just to accommodate your order (obviously, whether you cancel or not).

I hope that I've answered all your questions! If I've missed anything, drop me a line here! If you're ready to book, click here and tell me all about your event!

Either way, THANK YOU from the bottom of MY heart for even CONSIDERING The SweetArt! I hope to serve you soon!
xoxo,
SweetArt
